The Children’s Creative Village began as a vision in 2013 to create a community-centric space where caregivers could bring their children to connect to African and Caribbean culture through visual arts while simultaneously engaging with green space through an eco-friendly lens.
Through arts, crafts, and face painting, the Visual Artist will work to increase awareness and appreciation of African and Caribbean art and culture within the wider Canadian community. In this role, the individual will utilize enthusiasm and creativity to facilitate art activities and face painting for families and children to enjoy.
Job Description:

Support organizational opening and closing procedures, clean areas as needed, and re-stock art materials

Research the origins and history of Caribbean and African art activities.

Design art samples for participants.

Facilitate art activities.
-
Provide excellent customer service to service users and team members alike.

Utilize collaboration skills to help lead a vibrant, energetic team.
Key Qualifications:

The ability to demonstrate responsibility and reliability in all occurrences.

Strong team lead and facilitation qualities.
-
Vulnerable Sector Screening will be encouraged upon hiring.

Passion for visual arts.
-
The ability to work in outdoor and indoor settings.
-
Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift and handle boxes of
merchandise and fixtures throughout the tent -
Ability to lift up 30lbs.
$18.00/HR
